Where to install a water heater depending on its shape

A decade ago, there was only one place for a water heater - a bathroom. This was facilitated by the design features of the models and high heat loss when laying long pipe connections. Modern technologies have stepped forward and allow us not to limit the imagination of the designer. Consider the popular forms of heating apparatus and where it is better to install a boiler of the selected type. To begin with, we will classify these units according to the type of installation. Four types can be distinguished:

Wall mounted water heater. This is a classic version, which is fastened with special bolts to the wall. Such boilers may have different form factors, but are limited to relatively small volumes in order to withstand fastenings. Suitable for apartments in high-rise buildings and installed in any premises, from the bath to the corridor.

Boiler floor. Such models are distinguished by a large volume of water and high power of heating elements - they are mounted, respectively, on the floor, because the final weight of the device and the liquid can even reach 500 kg. They are chosen by the owners of private houses, cottages or cottages, and are often installed in basements in order not to occupy the living space of the rooms.

Boiler vertical. One of the subtypes of wall-mounted devices, represented by the widest model range, with different volumes, materials of manufacture and functionality. When deciding where to place a boiler with a vertical design, you need to remember that it is best suited for a bathroom or kitchen. In other rooms it is difficult to find a good place due to the lack of space or design features.

Horizontal water heater. The second subtype of wall-mounted boilers, designed for installation in a horizontal position, has a different arrangement of heating elements inside the tank especially for this. Such a unit is often installed under the ceiling in the corridors or hallways. In principle, the horizontal boiler is well suited to any room, significantly saving usable space. The only thing you need to think about - the supply of water to such an unusual place as the ceiling.

Also, where to place the boiler, may affect additional functionality, for example, the possibility of remote control, or design features of the body - there are models that fit perfectly into the kitchen, others look better in the bathroom, and others are designed specifically for bathrooms. It is also necessary to take into account the allowable length of pipes, which is different for each model, and is indicated by the manufacturer, and the distance to the power grid. Not everyone is ready to go on laying a new wire just for the sake of a boiler, so they are trying to place the device near an existing outlet.
